I received a postcard from Walnut a few weeks ago.  For those of you who haven’t been keeping track, she is our ninth Seeing Eye® puppy and she went back for training in late October.

She wrote:

“Hello!  Shannon (her trainer) tells me that I am doing well in training.  She says I have good willingness and that I learn new concepts quickly.  She says I have good initiative to make good decisions.  I do have some distractions.  (Oy.)  I love people, squirrels, other dogs and even cats.  I am trying hard to not distract and pay attention to my work!  I have been healthy.  I love playing with my new friends.  I am happy and I love my new job!”

She signed it with a footprint, and Shannon added, “Everyone loves Walnut!”
